The Evangelion proposal project - The original story for the Eva franchise

Few people know of this book.

It's called the Evangelion proposal project and it's the original version of the story sold to advertisers back in 1993 before the series aired (The proposal part should make it obvious). It has an alternate version of most episodes that somewhat mixes well into the normal series. Stuff like episode 19 and 20 would have happened earlier in the series, episodes like 13 would have been taken out...and the ending well..... it would have been way different (And wayyy cooler)

The angels look different than there later designs, and the Eva's do to. It's a really interesting read to see how much things have changed since the original idea.

But I can't say much about it without getting super ramblingly, so just read it here  http://wiki.evageeks.org/Neon_Genesis_Evangelion_Proposal

Mari-The new girl in town.

Hello, bloggers.

Today I decided to do a article on the newest Eva girl, Mari in honor of 2.22 getting a Japanese DVD release in 2 weeks~

Hmmm...well what can I say about her? She seems different than the other pilots...she's kinda like Asuka without the emotional problems and not being a ace pilot. She's more laid back then them and a bit more likeable also. She resembles the character Mayumi Magashi from the Eva game "Neon Genesis Evangelion : Second Impression" who actually was an angel with a human form (Makes ya wonder about Mari somewhat)

There's a theory being raised that she's could be a spy from Nerv's American base trying to learn more about the human instrumentality project but eh who knows? She seems to know a lot about the Eva's though considering she can activate things on it that other Nerv agents didn't even know existed ( AKA Beast mode) so she has to be in the know somehow.

All in all though, Mari is an excellent addition to the series and I can't wait to see her role in the next 2 films.

That's all for now!

Megaman ZX...is it really that bad?

I just got Megaman ZX from a friend today (For the low low price of $1.00 ^_^) And I've been playing the heck out of it lately.

I really enjoyed the game and looked up the game on a few Megaman forums and found out a piece of info...they didn't like the game very much.

I have no idea why though....it's not like the game is that bad. The gameplay is basically the same as the GBA ones, Megaman Zero with an open world. But people don't like it for that reason...

The characters are, the story is epic and follows up directly with Zero's and it's super fun. I like the fact that you can transform into different Megaman the most.

But meh...everyone's entitled to there opinion :v

That's all for now.

P.S. After this post I'll only be updating once a week most of the time now....But I'll make sure to keep this blog active for a long time, I promise.

See ya next week!

Megaman EXE Operate Shooting Star- A Great Example of Capcom Sequel Stagnation

Over a year ago this game was announced in Japan. The game's premise seemed awesome and simple to execute, create a crossover between the Megaman Battle Network and Starforce franchises.

You would think that a crossover between the 2 would be one of the best things ever, but it's not. This is one of the quickest and cheapest cash in attempts of all time.

The game isn't anything new, it's just a remake of the first Battle Network on glorious 2 screens for DS. They add very little to the game, the armor changing ability has been removed, none of the music has been remixed, and only 5 new battle chips were added....5.

The new content comes in however with the addition of the Megaman from Starforce (of course) to the game. But here's the thing....he doesn't even appear till near the end and he doesn't even really do anything.

The mission with Starforce's Megaman involves you defeating Clockman who has come from the future to screw up the past. After the mission though, you unlock Megaman Starforce as a playable character in the game. He plays slightly differently but it's pretty much the same as the normal Megaman.

Also added to the game are 2 minigames. One called Star collessuem where you battle with up to 6 players (At the same time!.....with one card!) to collect the most stars and whoever does wins. And also Vs. Bass mode. Where you battle Bass with bombs with a friend and work together to defeat him, both of these are really frantic and fun.

All and all though, these few added features are not enough to denote a remake of the first Megaman Battle Network game. Maybe it's best if these don't come to the US....

That's all for now~

Tears of God- A underrated epic

I first heard of this manga while on reading a article about different types of wine in Japan (Yeah, that's a pretty random search for someone who can't even drink wine yet !_!) . They made a quick mention of this series in the middle of the article and for some reason my interest to find out more about this series was perked. I looked it up on google and found out about one of the greatest manga's of recent time.

The premise of the story is that a young man by the name of Shizuku Kanzaki must find 12 wines that his recently deceased father left him to discover for his honor. He is left in contest with his adoptive brother Issey Tomine and whoever finds the 12 wines first will inherit there dad's prized collection of wine.

The plot may sound a little cliche and boring but the book is really interesting. It teaches you a lot about wine (and all the info is legit) while telling a epic and unintentionally hilarious tale (I mean really? The wine pouring scenes are usually awesome and funny at the same time.)

Despite the series' popularity in Japan and South Korea though, it's not really that popular in North America for some reason, nor has it been picked up by any publishers at the time for a release here.

The manga is currently being scanalated by a group called "Little Black Butterflies" and the first 6? volumes have been translated so far.

I recommend the series to anyone who's a wine enthusiast or just likes a good read.

That's all for now~
